7 Comfy Summer Lockdown Outfits

We’ve been in lockdown for a while, but things are beginning to open up around the world. Vacations are beginning again, and more shops and days out are available. When you start to go out, it’s important to keep up with this year’s trends. If you’re looking for some outfits which are comfy for staying at home, but equally as stylish for those times when you need to go out, here are some to get you in that summer mood!

1. Cycling Shorts

What is summer without cycling shorts? They’re so comfy, stylish, and versatile, that it’s impossible not to love them! Any easy lockdown outfit is an oversized t-shirt, tucked into some black cycling shorts, and paired with some chunky trainers. A simple pendant necklace and some bracelets would finish the look off nicely, and a hoodie is great for days when it’s a bit colder.

These cycling shorts are black, so they’ll go with everything, and they have a flattering fit and soft material. Not to mention, they’re super affordable!

2. A Jersey Playsuit

Playsuits are so cute and they’re great for summer because they keep you cool. Pair this light, summery piece with a pair of sandals, and a light jacket or cardigan tied around the waist is adorable. Obviously, finish the look off with a cute pair of sunglasses and some jewelry. If you find yourself needing to pop out briefly, you’ll feel stylish and put together in this outfit which doesn’t take long at all.

This fun playsuit comes in a few different colors, but this pink is so summery and, when paired with the floral pattern, gives off dreamy holiday vibes.

3. A Summer dress

Year after year, summer dresses are a staple in every summer wardrobe, and this year is no exception. They’re great for wearing at home because of how floaty and cool they are but they’re also a more versatile option. If you pair a summer dress with some tan leather sandals, you’ll be getting holiday vibes all day. Not to mention, you can even wear a dress like this out for a more formal occasion too, like a nice summer barbeque. The choices are endless, and you’ll stay stylish whatever happens that day.

Loose-fitting, this dress is a great choice for any summer outing. The chevron print is flattering and the tassel details around the edge are adorable!

4. Shorts and a colorful t-shirt

One of the biggest lockdown trends is bold colors. It’s made a big comeback over the last few months, and you’ll look very trendy in one like this. Tuck it into a pair of denim shorts (loose ones with rips or a frayed hem are popular at the moment) and slip on some sandals or flip-flops.

This top is really colorful, and the horizontal stripes are very beachy. You can imagine a beach hut along the seafront in the summer when wearing this, making it a perfect summer piece.

5. Jeans and a loose cami top

On days where it’s a little chillier, light wash jeans still keep up summer spirits but give you a little extra warmth. Relaxed, mom jeans are everywhere at the moment and you’ll be more comfortable in them than in another style, such as skinny jeans. For a cool outfit, pair them with a loose cami top in a bright color like yellow and some white trainers. A small crossbody bag, especially one on a chain, looks perfect with this look and keeps your hands free!

6. A bikini

Although you probably wouldn’t wear it out to the shops, a summer bikini is an absolute must-have. Even if you can’t go to the beach, you can wear a bikini in the garden, especially if you have a pool, during hot weather. Lockdown is a great opportunity to catch some rays, so why not?! Find yourself a lovely bikini (or swimsuit, if you prefer) and pair it with some flip-flops and sunglasses. You can even wear a cover-up if you’re not feeling like going all out.

The tropical print on this bikini is the best thing to get you in a holiday mood, besides the bikini itself. This also comes in a range of colors, but if you’re looking for a true summer one, this is it!

Just like the bikini, this cover-up is a great thing to get you in that holiday mood, even if you’re just staying at home. It provides a little extra coverage for those days when you’d like it to.

7. A simple bodysuit

A bodysuit is a casual piece but often looks like you’ve put more effort into your outfit compared to wearing a t-shirt. One of the perks of bodysuits is that you don’t have to keep tucking them in, and they don’t bunch up around the waist when tucked in either (like most tops do). A simple, short-sleeved bodysuit with some denim shorts, or even just some jersey ones, makes for an easy summer outfit. You could wear any shoes, but some white trainers complete the look, along with some bracelets or a watch.

The button front on this bodysuit isn’t just sexy; it also allows for a little less coverage on hot days, and you can choose how low you want it. The ribbed texture on this fabric is comfy for staying at home too.
