8: Journey of Voyager 1 and Voyager 2
Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 are the twin spacecraft launched by NASA in separate months in the summer of 1977 from Cape Canaveral, Florida. Voyagers were designed to conduct close-up studies of Jupiter and Saturn, Saturn’s rings, and the larger moons of the two planets.
To achieve their two planet mission, the spacecraft were built to last five years. Neutron stars are city-size stellar objects with a mass about times that of the sun. It born from the explosive death of another, larger stars, these tiny objects pack quite a punch.
