For me, this is an essential part of the process. You need to find the person that will sell your house. You also need to make sure that he is experienced, listens to your concern, and knows the market.

Take a look at the possible excellent real estate agents you’ve found in your search and list down the top three that stood out for you. Then, try to review their background again, check out the reviews, and probably references.
You can also interview them to find who you are going to be the most comfortable working with.
2. Consider your curb appeal
The curb appeal is what usually buyers notice about your home aesthetics as they view it from across the street. The better your curb appeal looks, the more you can attract buyers.
At the same time, if buyers don’t like the curb appeal, they might not even proceed in checking out the inside of your home.
The curb would include your yard, paint, roof, front door, driveway, and anything noticeable from the outside.
Remember, a good interior is nothing if you don’t fix these up. And it somehow increases the value of your home, too, so you can sell it at a much higher price compared to houses with unattractive exteriors.
3. Declutter living areas
A clutter-free home is something potential buyers would appreciate more as they would be able to see the structure of your home.
Areas they would particularly like to see are the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. But you should make sure to clear out your laundry and storage areas as well.
The less stuff there is, the better as this makes the place even bigger. It’s also vital to organize bathroom countertops, clean out your fridge, and make the entryway more welcoming.
This can be a lot of work, so don’t be afraid to ask for help from your friends or other family members.
4. Depersonalize your space
This can be the most challenging part of moving out because you lived in the house for years, and you’re leaving it behind. It can be emotionally taxing, so make sure to prepare your mind.

Touching up scuff marks will make your wall appear brand new and, of course, more pleasing to the eyes of the buyers. You can use baking soda, soap and water, tennis balls, toothpaste, erasers, and other chemicals you think might help.
7. Fix any loose handles
If there are any loose handles, make sure to fix them up.
As mentioned, buyers will open up cabinets and drawers to see what’s inside. So, if you have loose handles, they will immediately notice it, and this can be why they won’t buy the house.
After all, no one would like to fix things up after they bought a property.
So spend a little bit of your time to fix these things up. All you would need here is a screwdriver and probably spare handles, too.
8. Add some plants
Lastly, add some plants. These little things don’t only purify the air but also add to your house’s overall appearance. It’s excellent in creating first impressions as it makes the home happier, healthier, and comfier.
What you need to remember before putting your house in the market is that it’s going to be somebody else’s home. By doing these eight crucial things, you’re not only increasing your house’s value, but you’re also making the next family happy.
